Peter McLaughlin is a trial lawyer with experience litigating complex commercial disputes on behalf of both individual and corporate clients in federal court, state court, and arbitration.
Peter has experience in all phases of litigation, including drafting and arguing motions at both the trial and appellate levels; working with expert witnesses; taking and defending depositions; negotiating and litigating discovery disputes; and managing all phases of discovery, including large-scale document reviews and productions.
Prior to joining Gair Gallo Eberhard, Peter was a senior litigation associate at an Am Law 100 firm and a vice president of commercial underwriting at a global litigation funder. Before law school, Peter was a fixed-income trading analyst at an investment bank.
Peter graduated cum laude from Northwestern University School of Law and magna cum laude from Georgetown University, majoring in both mathematics and economics. Peter clerked for the Honorable James B. Zagel in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Peter lives in the northern suburbs of Chicago with his wife and three daughters.
